Our New Board and the Chance to get Involved with SWAN

Dear friends

I’m delighted to welcome you to our new SWAN website and to introduce you to our Board for the next charity year. At our AGM in November, we appointed our new Board. You can find out more about our Board members in the Trustees section of this website. We were delighted to welcome Amanda as a new Board member and delighted that so many of our previous Board are continuing to lend their skills to SWAN. Our co-founder and former Treasurer Rob Cole stood down from the Board at the AGM after devoting 11 years to building and developing SWAN. We are indebted to Rob for his work over the years and wish him all the best in his future career and personal plans.

I wanted to use this blog to encourage new and existing SWAN friends to get more involved with SWAN. We’re always keen to add to our Board of Trustees, who bring their skills as volunteers at Board meetings and SWAN events. You can contact us via this website to discuss becoming a Trustee.

Perhaps a Trustee role isn’t for you, but you might work for an Organisation that could offer a meeting space for a SWAN event? You might have some great ideas for an event theme or know some speakers that would be interested? You might have experience in event organising, finance, fundraising or communications and have time to volunteer with us?

SWAN relies on generous hosts, and voIunteers to help us deliver our events. In order to keep our events affordable, we would also be very grateful to hear from any organisations who have some Corporate Social Responsibility funding available and would be interested in making a donation to support our Charity work.

We’d love to hear from you as we plan for the year ahead and look forward to seeing you at a future SWAN event
